One of our local feeders asked us to help with an injured cat in her colony. When we arrived these 2 walked out of the bushes and started rubbing against our legs. The feeder was not familiar with these 2 and in fact had never seen them before.
We picked them up and immediately were met with purrs and neither made any attempt to jump out of our hands.
Needless to say, they both came home with us and we were unsuccessful in our attempts to find out if they had somehow been lost or gotten out of a home in the nearby neighborhoods.
We ended up fostering these two for about 3 months and posted pictures and videos of these 2 inseparable brothers. They were 2 of the best fosters we’d ever had.
A family that knew us and had previously adopted happened to reach out and ask if we had any possible foster matches for their family. We instantly thought of Peter and Parker! After sharing pictures, videos and doing some live chats, they decided these 2 would be a perfect fit for their family. One thing…..they live in the state of Washington! (we are pretty far from Washington!)
But this was not going to be a deterrent. They scheduled the flight for both cats, purchased the approved airline carriers and off we went to the airport on adoption day. It was a sad day as we really were attached to these 2 but so thrilled at where they were headed and the new life they were about to start.
We get periodic updates from the adopting family and the brothers are definitely in top 1% of spoiled kitties!
